Today for some reason links stopped working. All of them. Comments, archive, the lot. I have no idea why. I deleted and reinstalled WordPress, repeated all my template edits by hand, and still the links don’t work. I added a post last night and everything was fine. Now tonight it’s not. The web host’s standard response is that there’s something wrong with my script. But I haven’t changed anything. Sigh! The actual data (i.e. posts and comments) live in a database and are intact. It’s the visual interface that’s all messed up. I’ll keep working on it, but for now please bear with me.

UPDATE: It looks like the host admins may have removed htaccess, which would explain why nothing works. They want to charge me money to re-enable it.

UPDATE 2: Things are working again. After some browsing in the forums I found others were having the same problems and that I could request a fix. I did, and it’s fixed.
