Taking care of kids is hard work, even at the best of times.

The boys were well-behaved today. Daniel and Mum (and occasionally Joel) sanded, painted and glued a model plane and train this afternoon. The kits had been sitting on the shelf for ages, and finally Daniel got to make them. He’d been wanting to for weeks.

As we sat down to eat tonight Debbie remarked that she hadn’t had five minutes to herself the whole day, and that was hard to deal with. So tonight she’s off playing squash and I’m at home looking after the boys. The older two are fast asleep. Micah is crying inconsolably. He needs to sleep. So do I.
