I had a great time today at the music trade show extravaganza that is NAMM. I’ll write up a complete report when I get home, but here’s a highlight for today’s post. The morning started off with a concert by Mark Wood, of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. He plays an electric rock violin. Fretted, 7 strings. Nothing like a traditional violin. It was amazing. It was fun. By the way, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra is not from Siberia. And it’s not an orchestra. At least, not in the traditional sense.

In other news, following the weekend’s trend, I lost the eyecup on my camera. Didn’t even notice when or where it fell. I retraced my steps a ways, but eventually gave up in the press of the crowds. It hasn’t been a good trip for losing things.
