I took the boys to their swimming lesson tonight, the first time for me this season. They started classes last week, but I was away in California and Debbie took them instead.

It’s always a rush on a swimming night, urging the boys to hurry up and eat their dinner, packing a bag with towels, getting them ready and out the door on time. But I enjoy sharing the experience with them. This season their two groups are the only groups in the pool. And tonight each group had three children and two instructors. The environment was quieter and they got more attention and instruction. Both boys seemed much calmer and attentive. They enjoyed their class. I watched from outside the glass and felt proud of my boys. I have high hopes for this swimming season.
