Family Life

For some reason Sundays are really busy or really relaxed. There doesn’t seem to be any middle ground. Today was the busy kind.

There was a church business meeting in the evening that I went to. Debbie stayed home with the boys. It took up most of my afternoon, too. I’d taken the minutes at last month’s meeting but hadn’t yet typed them up or printed them, so that’s what I did all afternoon. You’d think I’d find time in the intervening month, but no. Left it till the last minute.

By the time I got home the boys were going to bed. I got to see them at breakfast, at lunch, and briefly at bedtime (they were in Sunday School in the morning). It’s a good thing I spent most of Saturday with them, or else I wouldn’t have seen anything of my family all weekend. I don’t get to spend much time with the boys during the week, so I look forward to my weekends. It’s disappointing when I miss out.
