The day broke dark and gloomy, windy and cold and raining. That’s OK. I’m leaving. I was in no particular hurry. My only task for the day was to drive from Gy?r to Budapest, all of one and a half hours. I anticipated a relaxed Saturday: a leisurely breakfast, unhurried packing, an easy drive on the motorway, and suddenly back to big-city driving. This was where my rented GPS really demonstrated its value. Unfamiliar, convoluted streets, heavy traffic and pouring rain contributed to a difficult driving situation.
