Rub a dub dub
Three boys in the tub
And who do you think they be?
There’s Daniel and Joeley
And Micah the baby
Scrub them up, kids all three
Rub a dub dub
Who jumped in the tub?
And said “Please fill it up Mum”
‘Twas Daniel that said it
And laughed when declared it
Though it was just past one
Rub a dub dub
One boy’s not enough
Gotta throw in all the rest
See, it is way more fun
Now that they can dunk one
Brothers put to the test
Rub a dub dub
The yelling’s a trial
Mother is weary, worn out
The kids are in fine form
Where screaming is the norm
Splashing with whale-blue spout
Rub a dub dub
Not time to come out
They’ll stay in all afternoon
There’s never such chances
Where water enhances
A bathtub boy’s typhoon
Rub a dub dub
The water is cold
It’s time to get dry and warm
Oh, hear such complaining
As the tub is draining
“We’ll stay here” they inform
Rub a dub dub
Despite loud protests
The three boys are dried and dressed
It’s good to be cleaner
Improves their demeanor
Now tired Mum can rest
Rub a dub dub
Say, Daddy, guess what?
We had a really long bath
The bathroom got soaked and
The whale spout is now banned
Due to our Mother’s wrath
Rub a dub dub
The moral is clear:
If you want three happy boys
You’ll put them together
In spite of cold weather
To play with bathtub toys
