Last night Micah cried from 12:45am till 5:30am. About an hour of that he spent in our bed, and I spent another hour walking him. It made no difference, so he spent the rest of the time in his crib. He wasn’t sick, he wasn’t hungry, he didn’t need changing. Was he getting a new tooth? Did he have an ear ache? Who knows? He can’t tell us.

Debbie slept through most of it, waking from time to time. Still crying? Yes. Back to sleep. I envied her detachment.

I didn’t sleep at all. It’s a good thing I went to bed relatively early, so I managed to get three or four hours of sleep before I had to get up to go to work. It’s just brutal.
