A fine day for a haircut

The kids get their hair cut by our friend Eleanore. She hasn’t fared well this winter, being sick more often than not, so the boys have grown shaggier and shaggier. A couple of weeks ago Eleanore’s husband remarked that she’d better get well soon, as they were starting to look like little street urchins.
At long last, today was haircut day. It was especially momentous because Micah got his very first haircut, him not being even one year old yet. So now he’s an extra-cute baby with an extra-cute haircut. Maybe it has made us smile at him more, maybe not, but since his haircut the extra-cute baby has been extra-happy, smiling and laughing and talking a lot of the time. To mangle a proverb, The Haircut Makes The Man.
In other news, today I got to play Tomb Raider after a 6-month absence. I’d paused at a particularly difficult spot that I knew would take some time to conquer, and never got back to it. Life intervened. Tonight on a whim I decided to drop all my responsibilities (including blogging) and just play on the computer. I had fun. I finished the level. And my wife cheered me on. She’s a good wife.
